Disc golf (also called Frisbee Golf or frolf) is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc."
Like ball golf clubs, golf discs are designed to
produce a variety of flight paths within a variety of playing
conditions. Some are designed for maximum distance, some to turn left
or right, and some for highly controlled short distance shots.
The Golden Gate Park Disc Golf Course here in San Francisco is located in Marx Meadow between 25th and 30th avenues on the North side of the park. It is across the street and north a bit from Speedway Meadow.
