Flare has left Thud Rumble and started a new label with scratch protege DJ Lonely. This record is an all around record. It features A skipless ahhh sound effect combo. Then the Scratch sentance. Whoah Nelly this is a big one! It starts out with a little anti drug message, sends a shot out to san francisco and then begins with a bang "Coke is fucking Dead as.... Dead" And drug breaks begins. Lots of lof fi drum samples, bizarre word play(dj lonely is the word play master) and drug dialogue oozing with funk. The samples are all placed in tight knit formations for drum/melody combos or ahhh/effect combos. Also features lots of head notes and moldies for ruccin the turntable band thing with your turntable crew. Finally it ends with a special ahhhh sound. Not gonna ruin the suprise here but it allows for some nasty scratch combos. The beats are where the heat really is. 5 beats. 3 by Flare 2 by Lonely 1st side beat 1 is a mid tempo solid having fun scratch beat. Next is the uptempo 110 bmp super dark flare beat. How does he do it? Shit is hard as some ice cold nipples. This is for some dark toadstyle doubletime combos. Then the skipless and the scratch sentance. Side 2 starts with a funky uptempo beat that makes you feel like you are travelling through space. This is for getting down. Next is the ultra slow murky beat by lonely. Makes you feel like you've done something bad and your afraid to tell anyone about it. Hypnotic. Finally it ends with and old skool electro piklz style beat. You know the ones where Flare and Q would launch into a 20 minute Q&A session to see who is the baddest. Overall a pretty complete break record. Basically what you would expect from a former member of the Piklz
