Element skateboards begun in 1992 basing themselves on martial arts principles they incorporated the 4 elements as symbols of their commitment to purity. The Department of Elementology was developed by element skateboards to make these products and to research better products for a brighter skateboarding future. Where is the department of Elementology? Kind of sounds like something made up by Element skateboards. But it's not. The department of Elementology is a real place. Element doesn't keep it at the same location as it's headquarters for fear of being spied on. Element keeps it's headquarters in a place close to all the natural elements. There is a forest near by. A river that runs through it. Some wind blows through some caves. But it's more than that. It's an understanding by element skateboards that the elements used in daily life or anything else have profound effect in the end result. Element endangered is an art program started by element skateboards to give back to the art community that it started from. Element endangered features: Micheal Leon a graphics designer, Curtis bennet, Andrew Pommier, and Paul Urich. Element tries to intergrate members of the art community into their company to help with skateboard and clothing designs. This approach by Element skateboards is what has led to its long success and helped prevent element skateboards from stagnating. Element skateboards also helps with the community by creating the element skateboard camp in partnership with the YMCA. Element skateboards also created the elemental awareness organization. http://www.elementalawareness.org . Elemental awareness was created by element skateboards to be originally a nature skills program that blossmed into a partnership between element skateboards and the YMCA. The element skateboards partnership with the YMCA was designed to help intercity skaters with scholarships and skateboard camps, nature skills programs and local level skateboarding events in south central Los Angeles.
