For this special event, he enlists the D-Styles Sextet made up of Beat Junkies' Babu, Rhett, J-Rocc, Shortkut, and Melo-D. The group performs selections from the Phantazmagorea album. Live. This is live scratch music people check it out. The opening act IS Ned Hoddings(Ricci Rucker, Toadstyle, Excess, and Mike Boo) and is worth the price of the DVD alone. My friends and I were discussing the DVD and we all agreed that Ned hoddings is actually sharper than the D-styles sextet and seem primed to take over as the leaders of the new school of scratch. Witness the rebirth of cool scratching.
The concert is well shot, even adding a film reel filter for that old jazz performance effect. Bonus footage includes rehearsals and an additional live performance (D-Styles, Melo-D, and Ricci Rucker).
