Steve Caballero Dragon II deck from Powell Peralta Skateboards is a close reproductions of their 1980?s counterparts, featuring the original Pro graphics and shape, top graphic logo and spoon nose concave. They are manufactured in Powell's Santa Barbara skateboard factory, which is still directed by a few of the same craftsmen that made them originally.

When it was time for my first graphic in 1980, it took me a while to think of something cool. I wanted something that represented me, so I picked a dragon because I liked the way they looked and I was born in 1964, the Year of the Dragon. I drew the first rough sketch of what I wanted, and then Court came up with the next few until he created something we both agreed on. He was great to work with because he was fast and an amazing artist. The first deck that came out didn't have my personal signature on it, and I really wanted it to be on there since Ray "Bones" had one on his. So the next batch of boards had my signature on them. I don't know why the bearing was dropped from the graphic later on. Powell still liked it because it was a good seller. We just changed the shape a couple times and dropped the bearing. What's cool about that Dragon graphic is that it first came out in 1980, and my next one didn't come out until 1986.
