I have had so many of these , out of all the vans i've had these are the best for longboarding. The soles are thin yeah, but their pretty dense and take way longer than the thick vans to wear out on the bottom. Beware of all kinds of holes on the top though :D You should get two pairs, ones to skate, and ones to just wear.. I mean I wouldn't do that, but you might.
